A Classic Story, A Chinese Film Set And A Garden From The Author Of "A Dream Of Red Mansions"
Two pricipal characters in the story, "A Dream Of Red Mansions", are Pao Yu and Tai Yu. There are exhibitions of their Chinese robes and dresses at the Grand View Gardens, and a selection of photographs taken during the filming of the story, shown on Chinese Television. Very little imagination is needed when walking around the Grand View Gardens, to visualise the privileged lifestyle of two ill-fated lovers. They lived when Chinese Emperors and their Courts, Mandarins and their Concubines, controlled the wealth of the country.
