Red Beak Parrot Stretching Over From Perch, Ignored By Caged Bird With Yellow Beak

A caged bird with a yellow beak looked very bored by a green parrot grabbing its cage with its red beak. The perch of the green parrot was close enough to the caged bird, for the parrot to grab the cage with its beak. Whether the parrot was looking for a mate or just being playful is unknown. There was very little response from the caged bird to the attention of the green parrot, that looked as if it had got itself into a difficult position. The caged bird could well have been asleep on its perch, or was so accustomed to the attentions of the parrot, that the caged bird just ignored it. How the parrot got back onto its own perch, from the position it had adopted, is unknown!

Parrots in general tend to gnaw on cages, with larger macaws known to tear bars from flimsy cages. Zinc coated cages or chicken wire could cause toxicity to parrots over a number of years.
